Are YOU a stay at home mom looking for a way to be able to stay at home AND bring in an income?

(Disclaimer- While all opinions are my own, and I only recommend products/services I use and love, this post contains affiliate links which means I may make a few dollars if you click or sign up through a link posted here)
1. Start a Blog
If you’re thinking about working from home chances are you may have already thought about starting a blog. Maybe you think you can’t do it, it’s too hard or that nobody will read it. I get it. But let me tell you, it’s SO possible (and pretty fun, too) and there are SO many opportunities to make money blogging. I’m not saying it will be easy, or will make you rich overnight, but there are endless ways to start making money with a blog. Check out my Hustle and Blog Series for my beginners guide to starting a blog to help you get set up as well as these 33 blog post ideas to help you write your first blog post.
2. Freelance Writing
If you’re not ready to start your own blog or if it’s just not your thing, why not get paid to write for others? There are always popular blogs looking for guest posts and many will pay you for your entries. There are also many websites you can use to find paid opportunities for guest posting as well as sites where you can post what you have to offer. Sites like Fiverr, where you can sell yourself (okay, not literally) to people by posting what you have to offer and how much you’d like to be paid “a gig” You can also search for people looking for guest posts. This is how I make a big chunk of my income.
3. Sell Your Creativity
If you’re lucky enough to have a creative gene (I got ripped off) why not take it, run with it and open up an online shop. Either from your own website or through sites like Etsy and Ebay, there is always someone searching for what you have to offer. From handmade items to website templates and graphics, trust me, you never know until you try!
4. Become a Virtual Assistant
Virtual assistants do everything from booking appointments and replying to emails to recruiting and manning social media accounts for their clients. I would say you’d have to be a pretty organized boss babe to take on this job, but if that’s your forte..why not? There are many websites with job postings for virtual assistants and it is becoming an increasingly popular work at home job.
5. Sell Household Items
This is the fastest way to earn some extra cash, in my opinion. Since you probably don’t want to sell everything in your home and be sleeping on the floor, this is obviously not a continuous form of income BUT you could make some pretty big bucks every month, selling just a few items you no longer need or use. Sites like Kijiji, Craigslist or Varagesale make selling easy, and local!
6. Join a direct sales company
Now I know what you’re thinking, you don’t want to be behind that annoying facebook message. You know, the one that you get from a high school acquaintance you haven’t seen or talked to in 15 years all of a sudden interested in how you’re doing, and you don’t even want to open the message because you know it’s going to lead to an uncomfortable sales pitch. I get it. BUT you don’t have to be that annoying facebook acquaintance to be successful at this. My advice, Find a company you absolutely LOVE and sales will come easy. I loved my journey with Stella & Dot– and got to look cute while reppin and sharing fun style. Plus, there are so many easy ways to sell these items online now so a lot of times, you don’t even have to leave the house.
What are some ways YOU earn money from home? I’d love to hear from you and maybe even add to the list! Comment below or shoot me a quick email!
